FUEL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

Heating Assistance helps income-eligible residents pay a portion of their
heating bills between November 1 and April 30.

HEATING SYSTEM ASSISTANCE


Repairs or replaces existing heating systems for clients of the Heating
Assistance Program.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Eligibility is based on the gross annual income of all household members over
age 18 and the number of household members.

CAN I WORK AND QUALIFY?

Yes. Also, you can either rent or own your home and qualify. And, applicants
whose heat is included in their rent may also qualify.

ARE THERE ELIGIBILITY EXCEPTIONS?

Yes. If you have a
federal housing subsidy and the cost of your heat is included in your
rent and your rent is less than 30% of your income, you are not
eligible.

HOW DO I APPLY?

Call CAI @ 978-388-2570 (Amesbury satellite office ), or 978-373-1971 or
1-800-332-9004 (Haverhill main office)

When you call for info, a staff member will let you know when you can come to fill out an application and what you need to bring. That will include a photo I.D., income documentation for the past 4 weeks, Social Security numbers for all household members, a fuel bill and an electric bill.
